Parents who recognize and appreciate the positive effects, on every aspect of their children's lives,
of developing musical skills, will want to enroll their children in my classes. Each class is a carefully
designed event that is planned and prepared to be very, very fun while attaining pre-planned music objectives.
All of my classes have several common goals: To inspire the child to love music, to spark and develop the imagination and
to lay a foundation of music skills that will last a lifetime. The classes prepare the child to begin playing an instrument
at a young age, if he or she is so inspired, but whether or not your child continues to play, she has strengthened her
cognitive learning neurons, developed her imagination and learned to love music.
Happy Children's Music classes meet
once or twice a week for 30-45 minutes, depending on the age and attention span of the children. They are
always small so I can give much individual attention and each child can shine. I use multi- age grouping (usually 2-3
years in each group) because research has demonstrated that all children benefit in this kind of arrangement. In addition
to general music classes I offer classes in singing, keyboard and guitar. I also teach, voice, piano and guitar
lessons for children.

There are several elements that run through
all classes. We always sing, because it is fundamental to all music, we play some kind of instrument and we do activites
designed to spark the imagination and we always have FUN!! Individual attention, developing friendships and
forming a classroom community are all important.
I base my teaching on the Orff approach.
Singing, movement and playing of pitched and nonpitched instruments permeates my classes. Please click on the
